From the moment we opened the gate of the Frederick Stegmaier Mansion, my husband and I were transported back in time to a majestic, magical and rarefied sanctuary lovingly maintained by Ms. Heather Groblewski. Visually, β€œthe Fred”, as it is affectionately referred to by Ms. Groblewski, is a masterpiece of incomparable Victorian architecture and interior design. But it became unimpeachably obvious that both Inn and Innkeeper share a unique and rare relationship, where some might have the privilege to witness within an old European village. This inimitable team of β€œFred and Heather” forge a rejuvantive ambiance that gifts guests with a warm hug. Fred possesses great, glorious, historic bones and Heather bestows the energetic, nurturing, warm soul. Together, the β€œFred and Heather” hospitality team impart a transformative and restorative customer experience that is akin to five-star resorts. The feeling is allusive to words; you just must experience it for yourself – and you will be all the better for it. Thank you, Heather, and, of course, Fred for an unforgettable experience!

When we arrived at the Mansion, we were warmly greeted by our gracious Innkeeper, Heather. She completed our check-in and then gave us a brief tour of the downstairs area and said to feel free to explore the upper floors. She showed us to our room and there we found freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. After getting settled, we were offered the choice of a lager or glass of wine, which we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Since we were going to the Mary Stegmaier Mansion for dinner, she provided us with some details about that place. We were then on our own. The next morning we had a lovely continental breakfast and a wonderful chat with Heather. She answered our many questions about the area and university and also provided us with restaurant recommendations close to our summer home. Heather is a very warm, welcoming person and hopefully will still be there the next time we visit.

We loved our stay. The mansion is incredible. It feels like you are stepping back in time. Heather, the inn keeper creates a wonderful atmosphere for guests and the breakfast we had was delicious. She works hard to make every guest feel welcomed and at home. We will definitely go back!

We had the most romantic weekend and felt so spoiled by Heather, the rock star of this gorgeous mansion! All the rooms are spectacular, and she has them beautifully appointed down to the last detail...the luxurious bathrobes were such a treat. Breakfast and Tea, plus a gathering the night before, had a delightful assortment of fresh, creative food and beverage options. Overall we were blown away, everything was better than ever expected, and we can't wait to go back!
